A cut above the rest
This week I've had the pleasure of Travelling to the Gold Coast and have stayed at two hotels this week so far, the start of the week I was raving about the QT at Surfers Paradise…Unbelievable service! From the service at check in at concierge-room service, all I can say is I've been to many hotels around the world to feel i'm able to judge and compare and I give the service I experienced as no#1. Now I'm at a Mantra Resort (will reframe from saying the area) and the difference ......'sticks out like dogs Ba*#s'. Not that the service was bad-it was just normal-average, no point of difference in their communication and service. It's amazing what the difference in a conversation can make at the front desk does to creating an experience or non experience with just the 'normal check in' process. QT managed to up-sell me to their internal restaurants and breakfast at a discount price booking the day before all from making it sound TOTALLY beneficial for the customer. Many business think they can get away with their staffs 'natural charm and charisma' when it comes to customer service & sales. Thinking they will save the expense of professional training. But nothing can be more damaging to a business ....Or on the contrary move positively earth moving when you're a notch above your competition. Face it businesses who have customer service training/consulting see it as an 'investment' not an expense, as they know they make the money back tenfold from their staffs new skills. Hotels to clothing boutiques, Computer technicians to trades man; understanding how to be 'serviced focused' and tailoring a 'sales service approach' to your business will have you thanking your lucky stars you actually invested in doing something for your business...and the most important thing about a business YOUR CUSTOMERS.
